Andrea Rinciari is an Italian jazz musician based in London, known for his style rooted in the bebop and straight-ahead lineage. Inspired by the phrasing of saxophonists and pianists, he has developed an improvisational voice that is both melodic and deeply rhythmic — translating those influences naturally on the guitar.

“an extremely gifted guitarist: melodic yet steely, as good on rhythm as he is on 'lead'.”

A scholarship graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Andrea’s playing was also shaped by in-person study with the legendary Barry Harris, whose teachings left a lasting mark on his musical identity.

“Rinciari's beautifully harmonised take [on Tea for Two] is as good as any instrumental version I've heard.”

In 2021, Andrea paid tribute to Bud Powell with the EP To Bud, released by Soho Live Studios. The journey continued with The Takeover (2022), a project born from a strong London-Paris connection featuring drummer Martin Cazales, saxophonist Thomas Gomez, and bassist Lorenzo Morabito.

He has held long-term residencies at respected jazz venues across London, including Ronnie Scott’s, and has collaborated with a wide range of international artists including Giacomo Smith, Ashley Pezzotti, Paul Sikivie, Ruben Fox, Lluc Casares, Nigel Price, Alessio Menconi, Daniele Cordisco, and members of the Parisian Zoot Collectif such as Neil Saidi, Thomas Gomez, and Noé Codjia.

Andrea released Soho Sessions (2025) , his latest album, featuring players like Alex Garnett, Mark Taylor, and Lorenzo Morabito — a group honed over years of live sessions and close musical connection.

“This band can really swing… The tightness and precision in negotiating some quite tricky pieces of music reflected the time spent together.”
